HTML <a> tag provides you option to specify an email address to send an email. While using <a> tag as an email tag, you will use mailto: email address along with href attribute.
The most common way to link an email in HTML is by using an anchor tag that has a href attribute. The href will point to the email you would like to send the email to. The mailto link accepts the following:
- A user’s email.
- Subject field.
- CC emails.
- BCC emails.
- Default body text.
Highlight the email address you want to activate as a link. Click + Plus > Link. Type mailto: followed by the desired email address in the URL field. Click OK.
subject=<subject> to the mailto tag. For example, the complete tag would look similar to the example below. You can also add body text by adding &body=body to the end of the tag, as shown in the example below. You can also include &cc= or &bcc= to fill out the CC and BCC fields.
To make a hyperlink in an HTML page, use the <a> and </a> tags, which are the tags used to define the links. The <a> tag indicates where the hyperlink starts and the </a> tag indicates where it ends. Whatever text gets added inside these tags, will work as a hyperlink. Add the URL for the link in the <a href=” ”>.
